Abacus based Mental Arithmetic Program is one of the
Time tested and proven methodology for acquiring the above skills
Mental Arithmetic Using Abacus In Abacus' Methodology
The Abacus Based Program gives the child the competitive advantage and the required skills like concentration, observation, and listening power, memory power along with speed & accuracy to take on the challenges.
Children discover to solve mathematical problems with the help of using a very simple tool called 'ABACUS '.
Fundamental concepts in mathematics like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are taught through moving the beads of the ABACUS.
This ensures the math phobia is removed among the children.
If the Children have to become SMART, they also must think logically
Logical Thinking: Helping Children to Become “Smarter”
Logical thinking is an important foundation skill. Unfortunately its role in learning is grossly underestimated and its role in overcoming learning difficulties is neglected. Logical thinking is the process in which one uses reasoning consistently to come to a conclusion.
The basis of all logical thinking is sequential thought. This process involves taking the important ideas, facts, and conclusions involved in a problem. To think logically is to think in steps. It has been proved that specific training in logical thinking processes can make people “smarter.” It empowers them to search deeper into their thinking processes.
Logical thinking is also an important foundational skill of math. “Learning mathematics is a highly sequential process,” says Dr. Albrecht. “If you don't grasp a certain concept, fact, or procedure, you can never hope to grasp others that come later, which depend upon it. For example, to understand fractions you must first understand division. Solving 'word problems' depends on knowing how to set up and manipulate equations, and so on."
Logical thinking is not a magical process or a matter of genetic endowment, but a learned mental process. A child or children would be asked to arrange a sequence of colored blocks in front of them, from left to right.

One would then ask the child or children: “If you had to add one more color to the above sequence, which color would you choose?” The answer, of course, is green.
Below is one more example:
One would ask a child: “If you had to add four colors to the above sequence, which colors would you choose?”
Gradually this exercise becomes more and more challenging and Logical thinking process starts.
Curriculum (Syllabus)
First of its kind in India, ALAMA ABACUS is bridging the gap between the logical thinking and Abacus Concepts.
ALAMA has come up with a distinctive program that complements and supplements the arithmetic approaches adopted in the school. To ensure children get all the benefits, we have formulated a curriculum with the help of experienced academicians and Abacus Mental Arithmetic experts together designed a unique course that will create a SMART society of children.
By applying the visualization concepts with number and selected logical word sums in the latter levels would strengthen and foster the children's mathematical proficiency to understand school mathematics better and prepare them well for competitive exams.
Give your child the best gift Success!
Make them acquire the skills today for better tomorrow!
